Allies in healthcare
Safe and friendly healthcare access for the LGBTI+ community can be hard to find. Red Raven Acupuncture is an inclusive space where all individuals seeking to improve their health are welcome. Our staff are part of and allied to the LGBTI+ community, and we make sure that anyone we refer to is an ally as well. With federal and state laws enabling practitioners to deny care and access to someone because of their sexual orientation or gender expression and identity, we think it's imperative that our patients know this will never happen at our clinic or with our partners.
We have also gathered a list of healthcare practitioners in this city that focus on inclusivity in their approach to healthcare. If you would like to be added, please contact our clinic and let's build a safe network for our community.

Alamo Area Resource Center -
The Alamo Area Resource Center (AARC) was founded in 1990 to assist in the needs of individuals who are homeless, disabled or facing life-challenging illnesses, including, but not limited to HIV/AIDS in Bexar county and the surrounding area.
Today, AARC serves as one of the primary social service organizations in Bexar County and the surrounding area by providing and coordinating services to eligible individuals. We promote compassionate, non-judgmental care and support.
Esperanza Center for Peace and Justice
The people of Esperanza dream of a world where everyone has civil rights and economic justice, where the environment is cared for, where cultures are honored and communities are safe. The Esperanza advocates for those wounded by domination and inequality — women, people of color, the lesbian, gay, trans and queer community, the working class and poor. We believe in creating bridges between people by exchanging ideas and educating and empowering each other. We believe it is vital to share our visions of hope… we are esperanza.

Counseling begins by taking a complete biopsychosocial background to gather history and information, developing a treatment plan designed to meet your specific needs, and working together to create the shared soulspace needed to heal current problems and move towards growth, happiness and wholeness. My foundational approach to therapy is Gestalt therapy, into which I interweave eclectic therapeutic techniques drawn from traditional Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Third-Wave CBT (using mindfulness, meditation, and techniques taken from Eastern psychology), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, art therapy, experiential therapies, transpersonal psychology techniques, and Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy.
