Qigong For Irritability - Opening The Sides
It's important to open the sides of the body. We tend to store a lot of stress under the armpits. I know it sounds a little weird, but go ahead and press your flanks with the tips of your fingers. If you start to dig around you will find some tremendously tender spots! When we perform this movement, it helps open up those sides and allow the qi to flow more freely - decreasing the tenderness and the irritability we may be feeling. This movement also helps expand the lungs capacity, this promotes a smoother flow of qi, resulting in a calmer demeanor and lower stress.
